What are implant-supported dentures?

Implant-supported dentures are dentures that are supported by dental implants. Dentures are oral appliances used to replace multiple missing teeth. At Gentle Dental Arts, we offer dentures to replace either a few missing teeth or a full arch of missing teeth. When they are not anchored to dental implants, dentures are removable and should be removed several times per day for cleaning. When attached to dental implants, however, dentures become non-removable. This makes them more secure and stable. Implant-supported dentures look, feel, and function more like your natural teeth.

Do I need implant-supported dentures?

Implant-supported dentures might be right for your smile if you are missing multiple teeth and are interested in a restorative solution that is more permanent, lifelike, and stable. Implant-supported dentures in Orem, Utah, are very secure and comfortable. Our dentist, Dr. Alexander Larsen, may recommend implant-supported dentures to improve your smile by:

  • Improving your facial volume and shape
  • Restoring your ability to properly eat, speak, and chew
  • Enhancing the overall appearance of your smile and face
