Dr. Alexander Larsen of Gentle Dental Arts began practicing as a Provo Dentist in 1981. His office was located in the Edgemont Professional Plaza on Canyon Road in Provo. He relocated to the Millrace Dental Center with Provo dentist, Dr. Sherman Cloward, for two years. Dr. Larsen then decided to follow Dr. Cloward's example by taking the next step in his professional career by building his own office. Many people questioned his moving his dental office to Orem, but after seeing the location on the corner of 400 West and Center Street, things fell into place insomuch he knew that is where he had to be.
Once a Provo Dentist...
Dr. Larsen viewed the transformation of being a Provo dentist to becoming an Orem dentist with some fear and trepidation. He questioned whether the valued relationships he had established with his patients would endure the added distance required to drive to dental appointments. To his joy and surprise, many patients reported that, although the drive was longer, it was more convenient and shorter in time than being located close to the freeway. As the years have gone by, this factor has become even more favorable. For example, with the completion of Foothill Drive from Canyon Road to University Avenue which connects directly to Orem Center Street where Dr. Larsen's/Gentle Dental Arts office is located, any north Provo location is very convenient to Gentle Dental Arts. Further, any location in South Provo is served well by easy freeway access to the Orem Center Street I-15 exit, which is one mile from the Gentle Dental Arts office. This makes the Orem Center Street location more convenient for many people living in Provo than many Provo dentist locations.
Here is the bottom line: Regardless of the location, isn't it worth driving an extra mile or two or an extra five minutes to an office that is totally committed to providing you with excellent dental care in the most comfortable and caring atmosphere possible?
Ironically, Dr. Larsen now lives two doors from his original Provo dental office. Like they say, once a Provo dentist, always a Provo dentist.
