A daily occurence at Gentle Dental Arts is one of our patients complaining of generalized tooth sensitivity. Studies have shown this is one of the most common dental problems in our country today. With people keeping their teeth longer into their advanced years, this leaves more root surfaces exposed which can be sensitive to hot and cold drinks or even breathing in cold air. Application of resins and fluoride have proved to be key in eliminating sensitivity. An additional benefit of adult fluoride use is a 75% decrease in cavities. That's something we can all live with.
